“It’s been a cruel, cruel summer,” Pauwel sings in ‘Bones’, the second track we get to unveil from Pauwel’s upcoming debut album on Unday Records, due in spring.
Written during the second lockdown, just a few months after losing his mom, ‘Bones’ evokes still lifes and painful memories of loss and grief.
‘Bones’ was one of the first songs recorded for the album in a cabin in the woods in Chastrès, a small village near Charleroi. It was also the first time Pauwel and Catherine met in real life, and the first song Cath sang on.
